Welcome to My Website!
This hand-coded site is my interactive portfolio. The purpose is for me to showcase some of my hobbies, projects, and interests in a unique way, relevant to my professional skills.
I will be updating this site from time to time with new information and as I improve my web design skills.

Website Design
Picture: An early look at some of the HTML code I wrote for the site.Ever since I became interested in the Internet, I always wanted to make my own site. When I was younger, I played around with HTML coding and made websites using Geocities and Angelfire. It wasn't until I started college that I realized how simple it was to create my own website from scratch.
Currently, I like to spend time creating and maintaining my own hand-coded website. I am always learning new techniques and concepts to apply to it. In the future, I plan to take some classes in web design to improve beyond my basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Computer Networking
Picture: A close-up of a Cisco switch I use to practice IOS.I am currently going to school for Computer Networking Technology at MCC in Connecticut. I've always been fascinated with how computers are able to communicate with each other; whether it's over the Internet or over a Local Area Network.
In order to be a network administrator, one needs a deep understanding of how networks operate and the technology and terminology involved. I've learned many things about networking, from DNS and DHCP to the history of networking. I feel that there is still much to learn.
Custom Computer Building
Picture: The stock heat-sink of an Intel Core i7 965 used in one of the computer club servers.I first got interested with computers while using my family's first computer, a pre-built Gateway. But the first computer I actually owned was a custom built computer, built for me by a family friend. This computer led me to discover my passion for computer hardware. I loved changing out parts and upgrading different odds and ends to make the computer perform better. Now, having worked on and assembled many computers myself, I consider myself to be a computer hardware junkie.
Computer technology changes often and I like to stay on top of new hardware advances. There's always a new CPU or graphics technology being released that puts the previous hardware to shame. I feel lucky to be interested in a field with such progression. I look forward to the changes!
Computer Repair and Share Club
Picture: A banner that advertises the computer club at MCC.I am the current president of the MCC Computer Repair and Share Club. The club is dedicated to recycling old computers, making sure they are usable, and giving them away for free to the MCC public. Since I've been a part of the club, we have given several hundred computers away, including some Apple Macintosh G5's.
The process by which we recycle and hand out computers is very involved. The volunteers of the club spend many hours cleaning, testing, and reformatting the computers. We have experimented with a few different methods for reformatting large amounts of computers. Currently, we use Alteris client management software to image several computers at once, instead of having to reinstall the operating system on each one by hand. We are exploring a new open source solution.
Video Games
Picture: An up-close look at my Razer keyboard.Over the course of my life, there's nothing I've been able to count on more than video games. I started playing games when my parents bought a used Atari 2600. Since then, I've played through so many games that it's hard to keep track. I play both computer and console games.
I hope one day to be involved in the development of a game, possibly creating one myself. I've had ideas of making my own text-based and ASCII art games, using C++.
I enjoy modding games, including making maps for Counter-Strike: Source. Also, I like watching and creating machinima using my favorite games.
